We hereby invite persons who are suitably qualified or have the required practical experience, to apply for the above vacancy at A.C. Whitcher sawmill situated in Tsitsikamma, Eastern Cape.

Job description:

• Manage, monitor and control the operations of boilers, turbines and cooling towers in the Power Station;
• Manage, supervise and discipline boiler operators;
• Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with Health and Safety requirements; and
• Fulfil duties of an electrician or fitter and turner (as the case may be).

Minimum requirements:

• Qualification as either an Electrician and/or Fitter and/or Fitter and Turner or at least 3 (three) years practical experience as a Shift Foreman in a Power Station;
• Prepared to work shifts;
• Leadership abilities, including willingness to discipline sub-ordinates;
• Ability to work and take rational decisions under pressure.

Intensive on the job training will be provided to the successful candidate.  The remuneration package will include housing.
