A vacancy exists within Merensky at Singisi Forest Products based at Weza (KZN), for a suitably qualified and experienced:-

The successful incumbent must have an appropriate tertiary qualification, plus at least 5 years proven management experience at a Human Resources Manager level in a unionized environment.  Sound HR administrative and IR skills, plus the ability to compile budgets, sound knowledge of relevant legislation encompassing but not limited to Employment Equity, Labour Relations Act, BCE Act, Skills Development Act and other related legislation, is essential. In addition, sound business acumen, experience in performance management and skills development, is required.

Reporting to the Group HR Manager of Singisi Forest Products, the appointee will be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service to the following business units, i.e. Weza Saw Mill, Singisi Saw Mill and various Forestry operations within proximity of the mills referred to.

Exposure to the lumber industry will be a distinct advantage, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in English and Zulu.
