Timboard Unlimited expands their business

Based in the industrial area of Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, Timboard Unlimited has now extended its services with a new chemical treatment plant.

Despite running a successful timber manufacturing company for the last seven years, Gary Fourie, co-owner of Timboard, grew keen to start a treatment plant.  Having been involved in the timber industry for over 20 years he started Timboard Unlimited with Hillary Du Plooy at the end of 2008.

“Last year, while travelling through Mossel Bay, I met with Bertus and Braam Rust (Dolphin Bay sales executive) to enquire about assisting me with a treatment facility. Their readiness to meet with me at short notice made me realise that Timboard was important to them, and that they were the kind of business partners we wanted to deal with,” says Gary.

“The fact that Dolphin Bay and Timboard are both family-run businesses means they share similar work ethics and values,” says Braam.
Dolphin Bay supplies the necessary equipment and assists with training Timboard staff.  Braam says that because Dolphin Bay is based in the Western Cape, it is easy for Gary to get prompt assistance for their new treatment plant. Dolphin Bay’s Dennis Fourie spent many weeks installing and improving the new plant and so far, all the challenges have successfully been resolved.

According to Gary, Dolphin Bay not only supplies them with chemicals and equipment for the new plant, but also assists Gary and his team with queries and advice.

One of his biggest rewards of the business is being able to manage the treatment process as it helps him save time and money. It also guarantees that his clients will get a high quality end-product.

“In Dolphin Bay we have found a fantastic partner. A special thanks to Dolphin Bay staff for helping us turn an idea into reality,” says Gary.
